Mitochondria

Main Functions

They are most commonly nicknamed the " powerhouse " of the cell. The Mitochondria is mainly responsible for creating energy within the cell. It does this through a process called aerobic respiration. Aerobic Respiration never stops within mitochondria, which means Mitochondria make an enormous amount of molecules every minute. They are also responsible for moving electrons from food to the air we breathe.
